Camera gear I own as a unit stills photographer

Starting out I wasn’t sure what I’d need so I thought I’d compile a list of the items I now own

Iwan Rheon and Freida Pinto on A Christmas Number One

• Canon R5 and a Canon R (always two incase one breaks on set)

• Two zoom lenses (both RF), 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8

• Prime lenses (RF) 85mm f1.2

• Black Rapid wrist strap

• Hip strap for gallery days

• Big and small backdrops, mainly grey, white and black but also a range of colours just in case

• CFExpress cards and fast SD cards

• Spare camera batteries and extra charger

• An SD card back up drive

• Filters

• Good camera bag for your back or in my case, a 4 wheel roller bag by Vanguard

• Portable and wireless lights with lighting adapters

• Extra batteries for lights, fuses and spare bulbs

• Sand bags

• Tape for cables, taping down hazard cables, taping down edges of backdrops for safety measures.

• A clamps and pony clamps for gallery days (studio shoots)
